近日，澳大利亚在连续几天的暴雨后遭遇了洪水，数百万只蜘蛛被迫到地势较高的地方生存。维多利亚州、新南威尔士州等很多地方都出现了大片蜘蛛网，它们覆盖了灌木、草丛和路标。

The weather was very bad in southeastern(东南部的) Australia last week. It rained a lot. The wind was strong. Thousands of people had to leave their homes. Several people died.

上周，澳大利亚东南部的天气很糟糕。雨下得很多。风很大。成千上万的人不得不离开家园。有几个人死了。

Then, people saw something unusual outside after the rain. It looks like white blankets(毯子). The blankets are spiderwebs(蜘蛛网) . Spiders catch flies and other food in them.

然后，人们在雨后看到外面有些不寻常的东西。它看起来像白色的毯子。毯子是蜘蛛网。蜘蛛在里面捕捉苍蝇和其他食物。

Spiders needed to escape from the water. They made spiderwebs above the ground. When the rain stopped, they flew away with the wind. They found a new place to stay.

蜘蛛需要从水里逃出来。它们在地上结蜘蛛网。雨停了，它们就随风飞走了。他们找了个新地方住。
