Last Friday, China and Pakistan made history. They signed an agreement to train Pakistani astronauts for missions to China’s Tiangong space station. This is the first time China will choose and train astronauts from other countries. It shows China’s space technology is advanced, and it wants to help developing countries explore space.

根据计划，巴基斯坦将在一年内挑选一名宇航员。入选者将在中国接受培训。未来几年内，这位宇航员将与中国航天员共同参与天宫空间站的短期任务。此类合作并非首次。过去30余年间，两国在航天领域长期协作—1990年，中国协助巴基斯坦将其首颗卫星送入太空；2024年，一颗小型巴基斯坦卫星搭载中国嫦娥六号月球探测器升空。

Under the plan, Pakistan will pick an astronaut within a year. The chosen astronaut will study in China In a few years. He or she will join Chinese astronauts on short missions to Tiangong. This teamwork is not new. For over 30 years, the two countries have worked together in space. In 1990, China helped Pakistan send its first satellite into space. In 2024, a tiny Pakistani satellite rode on China’s Chang’e-6 moon probe.

专家称，中国的做法展现了责任感。尽管富裕国家常将太空机遇独揽，中国却致力于为发展中国家降低探索宇宙的门槛。航天专家王亚南表示：“这让没有自主载人航天计划的国家也能参与激动人心的项目。”

Experts say China is acting responsibly. While rich countries often keep space chances to themselves, China wants to make space exploration easier for developing nations. “This lets countries without their own manned space programs join exciting projects,” said space expert Wang Yanan.

当前，天宫空间站已全面运行，将成为各国宇航员开展实验的共享实验室。这与中国共建更美好世界的愿景相契合。康国华教授指出：“中国正以团队协作的方式助力发展中国家迈向太空。”

The Tiangong space station is now fully working. It will become a shared lab where astronauts from different countries can do experiments. This matches China’s dream of building a better world together. Professor Kang Guohua said, “China is helping developing countries reach space as a team.”

通过开放空间站，中国既分享自身成就，也鼓励更多国家携手探索宇宙。繁星照耀下，中巴两国正在书写友谊与探索的新篇章。
