The person I respect
There are many respectable people around us.
There are many respectable people around us. I have great admiration for Mr. Sun, my English teacher, a middle-aged man of few words.
First, his helpfulness and kindness win him great popularity and a good reputation among us. Whatever difficulties we come across, he doesn’t hesitate to come to our aid. In some sense, he is virtually a beacon of hope, encouraging us never to give up. On top of that, it is his rich experience and devotion to teaching that not only give us easy access to professional knowledge but most importantly shape our character.
Such is Mr. Sun that I have the highest respect for him. (103 words)
There are many respectable people around us. My mum, an ordinary middle-aged woman, is one of the people who I love and respect most. Born into a poor family, she has always been independent and cherished what she has had. Now she is a teacher, works well into midnight, but seldom, if ever, complains.
The reason why I show respect for her is that she never loses temper but instead always encourages me. My thoughts flashed back to the days when I felt cast down on account of my poor academic performance. Aware of my low spirits, she told me firmly that as long as I tried my best, she would take pride in me whatever the result would be. In the meanwhile, she secretly stuck some famous sayings such as "where there is a will, there is a way" on my table, reminding me to keep a positive attitude toward life. With her constant encouragement and unconditional trust, I regained my confidence and continued to pursue my dream. Were it not for her, I couldn't be what I am now.
Such is my beloved mum, a simple yet great woman, like a beam of sunshine, shining me the road ahead.
The person I respect
There are many respectable people around us. The one I respect most is my aunt, a middle-aged nurse, always wearing a smile and a determined look, who fought against the COVID-19 during the tough times of the epidemic.
Her selfless devotion to her job never fails to appeal to me. With a good knowledge of medical care, she strengthens her resolve to be an excellent nurse and cares enough for her patients. Additionally, it is her passionate belief in what she is doing that leaves a deep impression on me. Faced with the outbreak of the epidemic, she went to Wuhan without a second thought, where she helped to save hundreds of lives. Whenever I encounter difficulties, her heroic deeds will flash through my mind and motivate me to overcome them.
Admittedly, words cannot express my admiration and respect for her. What she has done sheds light on the future lying before me.
There are many respectable people around us. Among them, the person I respect most is Zhong Nanshan, who has become a household name for his great contributions to defeating virus.
Zhong Nanshan, a medical scientist, is a leading figure in the battles against SARS in 2003 and COVID in 2019, winning him the worldwide respect. Every time I see the pictures, in which he is fighting to save people’s lives, I cannot help being moved by him. What impresses me most is that aged 84, he rushed to the front line of the epidemic area without hesitation at the beginning of the outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic. Dangerous though it was, Zhong Nanshan and his workmates worked hard day and night to treat the patients infected with COVID-19. With their great efforts, remarkable results were achieved and the COVID-19 was finally under control.
His dedication to work and to people is admirable, which truly inspires me to become a man like him in the future.
There are many respectable people around us. The one I respect most is Mr. Huang, my head teacher and English teacher in Senior Three. His teaching has made a great difference to my study as well as my life.
As a head teacher, Mr. Huang is really careful and considerate. He regards us as his own children. While he is so strict with us in our study, he does care about our lives. What moves us most is that he cooks eggs for us every morning and brings us something delicious to eat sometimes. Mr. Huang is born a good English teacher because he can always make his classes so interesting and attractive that we all enjoy having English classes and have made great progress in English. We have found it easy to learn English well since we became his students. We learn a lot from him, not only the way to learn English but also how to be a good person.
Mr. Huang is respected by all the students. It's he that fulfills our senior school life. We feel it lucky to have such an excellent teacher and thank him for what he has done for us from the bottom of our hearts. (197 words)
The person I respect
There are many respectable people around us. Zhong Nanshan, a famous elderly medical expert , is the one who I admire most.
First of all, we should express great respect for Zhong Nanshan, because China wouldn’t have made such achievements in the battle against the COVID-19 outbreaks without him. He was born in Jiangsu, grew up in Guangdong and graduated from Beijing Medical College in 1960. Ordinary-looking as he is, he is extraordinary in his work. In the spring of 2003, not only did Dr. Zhong lead the team, but also took an active part in and finally won the battle against SARS. Therefore, he was honored as one of the ten of China’s inspirational role models in 2004. He is regarded as one of the most famous medical scientists in the 21st century.
He sets a good example to us teenagers and he is really an excellent scientist who deserves my admiration and respect.
